Ten minutes a week around the home breaks the Aedes life cycle: eggs hatch in about a week, so weekly action matters.
Key facts
- Drain and scrub (Menguras): bath tubs, water tanks, vases, pet bowls and dispenser trays; scrub the walls where eggs stick.
- Cover (Menutup): water drums, jars and tanks tightly closed; buckets upside down.
- Recycle (Mendaur ulang): remove bottles, cans and tyres; clear roof gutters and drains.
- Plus: larvicide where draining is not possible, larva-eating fish, repellent, bed nets or screens, no clothes hanging indoors, larva checks (1 house, 1 larva monitor).
